Cursed Avliya - IV year

Cursed avlia is a novella written by Yugoslav writer and Nobel laureate Ivo Andrić.

The book presents the so-called "novel in a frame", and in terms of genre it belongs to the category of historical chronicle, because the action takes place in the 19th century. It is structurally composed of eight chapters, and the place where the plot takes place is a prison in Constantinople. The main characters that build the narrative whole are Fra-Petar, the prison warden Latif-aga (better known as Karagyoz), young Qamil, and the rest of the secondary characters like Haim, Zaim, etc. The narrator is omniscient, and narrates according to the principle of "already heard".
