In this novel, the author deals with the problem of beauty and the love caused by it. The action is full of mythological symbolism and on his way to Venice, the protagonist witnesses strange circumstances and fellow travelers, as a result of which he directs his irritated nervous system towards human beauty. The main character justifies his fascination with the handsome boy with philosophical arguments in which he refers to Socrates, according to whom beauty is the only form of the spirit that we can perceive with our senses.

The publication is reading material for the fourth year of secondary education.
