Romance of Magic

"Spells" is a dazzling and engaging book. Author Aprilin Pike's gift just keeps on blossoming and I'm even scared to see how fascinating her next book will be.

A little bit Harry Potter and a little bit more Twilight Zone - it's a winning combination for Apriline Pike. However, her own depiction of life in the fairy kingdom of Avalon lends an extra glossy patina that enchants readers.

Pike develops a magical streak. "Spells" is full of surprises, with suspense and tension and could hardly be placed below her previous book "Wings". Laurel turns into a fascinating woman. The conflict in her heart will come as no surprise to others who, like her, are torn between two things they love equally.
