The land of snow - IV year

The novel "Land of Snow" describes Japanese life, customs, traditions, understandings.

The novel has a love theme, and the main character is the rich Shimamura from Tokyo who is torn between his love for two women (the young and pure Jopko and the geisha Komako) and his own self-discovery. At times he thinks that the purity that Yoko symbolizes is what he strives for in order to reach the true values in life, at times, however, he is attracted by Komako's knowledge, refinement and love.
