Selection of short stories – IV year

It is characteristic of Chekhov's prose work, his short stories and novels that he does not depict great events or great characters. The fables are usually very simple and with them he evokes an impression, creates a mood and a specific atmosphere, and through that atmosphere, through thoughts, moods, sadness or joy, he fully shapes and explains the characters. His stories are short but meaningful, imbued with humor or mild irony and always present a sad note.
