Genre-wise, this novelistic achievement belongs to the so-called "modernist current" in contemporary Macedonian literature. The writing style is woven with mild humor and irony, through which the author intended not to stigmatize, but to expose false political, social and moral values. The main characters are people from everyday life, whose anonymous life dramas are artistically processed and through them the city atmosphere and the mentality of the people of Skopje are presented in a unique way.

The place around which the main action takes place is the cafe "Zora", located in the neighborhood of Debar Maalo. "Dawn" is the place where memories of post-war Skopje are evoked. Following the fate of the bar from its opening to its demolition, the narrator traces the fates of the multitude of characters who parade there.

The publication is a reading for secondary education.
