The miser - 1st year

The play consists of a prologue and four acts.

In the prologue, the house god tells how Euklion's grandfather entrusted the treasure to him for safekeeping, and because he was very stingy, when he died, he did not tell the secret to his son. Because his son did not respect the house god, he did not tell him about the buried treasure, so he died without knowing the secret. Even his son, Euklion, did not respect the house god, but his daughter Phaedra, who regularly paid him respects, so the house god made Euklion reveal the pile of gold.
