Guarana

Guarana (Paullinia cupana) is a plant native to the Amazon rainforest. It grows as a woody vine that can reach up to 10 m in length. It has characteristic red fruits that open partially when ripe, revealing up to three black seeds covered in a thick white coating on the lower half. And it is the seeds that contain valuable properties used in preparations such as dietary supplements.
