Anneliese Marie "Anne" Frank was a German girl from a Jewish family from the city of Frankfurt who gained worldwide fame thanks to her diaries in which she described the German occupation of the Netherlands during World War II.

Anna moved with her family to Amsterdam in 1933, after the Nazis came to power in the Nazis and pursued an occupation of the Netherlands that began in 1940. As the killing of Jews began to increase day by day, Otto Frank, Anna's father In July 1942, Frank was hiding with his family in the rooms of his work building. After two years, the group that included them was found and sent to the concentration camps. Seven months after her arrest, Anna died of typhus in the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp on the same day that her sister Margot Frank died. Her father Otto survived and managed to return to Amsterdam where he found his daughter's diaries preserved which were later published in 1947. The original diaries are published in Dutch....
