Tired of the monotonous work, the Plague, the Fever, the Cholera and the Death walked along the snowy road from the village of Kuchevište to the settlement of Brodec above Skopje, and, miraculously, immediately, without many twists and turns, they reached their destination. How, I don't know, because at first no one goes on this road in winter, in November, after the whirlwind of Mitrovden, when, as they say, knee-deep snow falls, and the night opposite the day when winter begins is the longest, the day the shortest and darkest. ; and secondly, no one then even thinks of going up, because all the time uphill, from the thick oak and beech forest, packs of angry and hungry wolves are lurking and howling and waiting to rush you. By normal walking, in the summer, when there is no snow or inconvenient slush on the asphalt, from the church of Saint Spas in the village of Kuchevište up to Brodec or from the village of Radishani via Pobožje and the monastery of the Holy Virgin, it is at least an hour's walk, but in winter, if someone he even dared to walk in the snow, he needs at least an hour just up the hill to Nad Pobožje and the monastery above surrounded by lodgings and a church inside, and from there to Brodec at least another hour!
